A team of American explorers and a British expedition company recently revealed the discovery of a US Navy shipwreck.

The United States sunk in World War II and is the deepest shipwreck ever discovered.

It lies at a depth of about 6.9 kilometers off the coast of the Philippines.

The wreck is identified as the destroyer USS Samuel B. Roberts, also known as Sammy B, for Caladan O Company. Chienig, a Dallas-based naval technology development company, said it was an honor to have encountered this incredibly famous warship.

The sinking was at a depth of 6.9 kilometers, breaking the record for the wreck of the USS Johnston in the same area.

Both ships contributed to the US victory at the Battle of Samar in October 1944 as part of the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

It has been called the largest naval battle in history.

It was the largest battleship ever built before Sammy B sank under fire in the Philippine Sea.
