British Foreign Minister Liz Truss met with her French counterpart Catherine Colonna in Paris today.

APA's London correspondent reports that after the NATO Summit held in Madrid, Liz Truss emphasized Britain's commitment to European security and noted the need for close cooperation with France to strengthen the NATO Alliance.

The ministers noted that the G7 and NATO summits showed that Great Britain and France are united in response to Russia's war in Ukraine.

Both sides agreed to work on summits to protect the international community while supporting Ukraine's struggle for freedom and self-determination.

The ministers also discussed the importance of increasing aid to Ukraine.

They spoke of the need for a free world and the importance of countering threats from Russia and China by strengthening security and economic ties.
