The Special Risk Rescue Service Regiment of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) continues to clear the occupied territories of mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO).

APA reports that after the Patriotic War, along with the employees of the relevant agencies, mine-clearing teams of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the operations to clear the areas of mines and UXO.

Anar Bayramov, an employee of the Special Risk Rescue Service, told reporters that the operations are carried out in designated areas, villages and settlements, as well as along drinking water basins, along water canals. .

Along with the sappers, specially trained dogs join the process.

There is a need for mine detection dogs due to the high level of unexploded ordnance contamination in the area.

These dogs have the ability to detect a large number of mines and explosives.

Vugar Maharramov, commander of the special anti-mine regiment of the Special Risk Rescue Service, said that the enemy did not expect any standards or norms during the mining of areas using prohibited methods, and the areas were severely mined.

He said that the Armenians made it difficult to clear the mine by scattering additional metal wire fragments and pieces of iron in the mined areas:

"Despite all this, the demining process in the areas continues at full capacity.

Under the conditions of mutual cooperation, areas contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnance are cleared on the basis of the principles of interaction with the employees of the relevant agencies.

In parallel with the above-mentioned construction works are being carried out in the liberated territories.

The state uses all the opportunities at its disposal to ensure the safe living of our IDPs and citizens who have been displaced from their native lands for 30 years, so that there are no obstacles in the territories.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges those involved in the construction work to be careful in the area, to use the identified, cleared roads, not to go beyond the specially marked lanes.

It is stated that there are many citizens who cross the border illegally and are determined to cross the border: “We appeal once again and ask them to refrain from such trips and not to cross the territory illegally.

"If they see mines and unexploded ordnance, suspicious items not specific to the area, or cases where the area is mined, they should immediately inform the Emergency Situations Ministry's 112 hotline so that they do not fall victim to explosive devices."
