The British military experts will be sent to Bosnia and Herzegovina to strengthen the NATO mission, and to promote stability and security in the country, according to a statement on the UK government's official website.

"Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently facing the greatest existential threat since the war, and secessionist leaders are actively working for further division and conflict.

"These plans are supported by Moscow as part of Putin's efforts to undermine Bosnia's Euro-Atlantic integration," the British government said in a statement.

At the request of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, military anti-disinformation military experts in the UK and strategic civil defense advisers will go there to support and train Bosnia and Herzegovina's armed forces.

They will support defense reforms in Bosnia, assisting in the further development, modernization and better presentation of the armed forces in order to be able to meet NATO standards.

"In addition, the United Kingdom will provide mijë 750,000 for the opening of a cyber security center, which will operate within the University of Sarajevo.

This will strengthen Bosnia's defense against cyber attacks, which can hurt people both inside and outside the country.

"The UK will work closely with the Bosnian media and institutions to prepare them with equipment to identify and mitigate the effects of lies and misinformation."

The British Prime Minister Boris Jonhson has also stated about this decision, who has expressed himself quite clearly and decisively.

"We must not allow the Western Balkans to be another Putin square for destructive purposes.

By igniting the flames of secessionism and sectarianism, Russia is trying to reverse three decades of success in Bosnia and Herzegovina, achievements that brought stability to our entire continent.

"For this we are increasing support in Bosnia, we are responding to the call of our friends to help them maintain the peace they rightfully deserve," Johnson added.
