In the last 24 hours in Europe, the share of electricity produced by wind farms is 8.5 percent, according to data from today's bulletin of WindEurope Power Numbers.

Of these, 7.2 percent or 588 gigawatt hours is electricity from onshore wind farms, and 1.3 percent or 108 gigawatt hours is "offshore" wind energy.

The largest share of wind energy is Portugal (37 percent), Great Britain (20 percent) and Greece (16 percent), and the largest amount in the last 24 hours is electricity generated by wind in Germany (189 gigawatt hours), Great Britain (115 gigawatts) and Spain (105 gigawatts), according to the report.
