British Ambassador to Moscow Deborah Bronnert has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports quoting the Russian Foreign Ministry that the ambassador was strongly protested against the British leadership's blatant and insulting statements about Russia, its leader and officials, as well as the Russian people.

"The ambassador was presented with a commemorative booklet stating that the insulting rhetoric of the British authorities was unacceptable.

In a dignified society, it is customary to apologize for such expressions.

"In addition, the statements of British officials, in particular the practice of deliberately repeating false information about the alleged" threats with the use of nuclear weapons "made by the Russian side, are unacceptable," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
