The Undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova, has expressed support for visa liberalization for Kosovo.

In a press conference, during his stay in Kosovo, he said that it does not make sense that only the citizens of Kosovo need visas in the Western Balkans.

Therefore, until visa liberalization, he promised simplification of procedures for obtaining Italian visas for Kosovar citizens.

"Italy has always supported and continues to support visa liberalization for Kosovo… It does not make sense that only the citizens of Kosovo need visas in the Western Balkans…. We wish that even countries that have doubts about visa liberalization remove them" , he said, transmits KP.

Della Vedova also spoke about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, for which she sought to find a solution.

"Regarding the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue… We consider that this dialogue should include the Serbian-speaking community in Kosovo… We encourage dialogue, both in terms of bilateral relations and in the framework of EU support to focus on key points that are in finding a solution ", he added.

While expressing support for Kosovo's integration into the European Union.

"We stand close to democracy in Pristina, we stand close to Kosovo towards European integration… we are ready and we stand close to the Government of Kosovo to cooperate for all agreements, in the first place for the benefit of the citizens of Kosovo, for the benefit of enterprises of Kosovo and of course for the good of the country in its integration… This has to do with the rule of law, democracy and the rule of the judiciary… Especially as it touches on the fight against corruption which is important in the economic development of the country and attracting investment ", He stressed.
