Technical problems in air traffic control in Germany today will cause traffic disruptions across Europe, according to the operator of the airport in Frankfurt, which is the busiest in the country, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

There will be delayed and canceled flights at Frankfurt Airport, Fraport said in a statement on its website.

A problem has arisen at the control center in Langen, where the headquarters of the German air navigation company DFS (DFS) is located.

Its staff monitors take-offs and landings at 15 international airports in Germany, Fraport said in a statement.

Lufthansa, the largest airline based in Frankfurt, said it was too early to say how many of its flights would be affected.

The website of Frankfurt Airport shows several canceled flights without giving a reason.
