On hot days we seek shade, hide from the sun, drink cold drinks and cool off in all possible ways, and at night we can not sleep because we constantly go back in search of the cooled part of the bed

If you have air conditioning, it is easy to cool the room, but what if there is no air conditioner in the room where you are or it is broken?

Here are some tips on how to freshen up in airless rooms:

1. Pull the curtains

To avoid a sun-heated apartment, it is important to draw the curtains during the morning.

They should be made of fabric, because synthetic materials heat up easily, which in no way contributes to cooling.

2. Remove carpets

If you do not want the heat to stay in your apartment, get rid of dusty things like carpets and pillows on the sofa.

This will clean the air and cool it.

3. Hang a damp towel near the window

When ventilating the room, hang a damp towel in front of the open window.

This will speed up the cooling of the room.

Be sure to remove the towel before bed as excess moisture will intensify the feeling of heat.

4. Sleep on the floor

In doing so, we do not think you should sleep directly on the floor or tiles, but move the mattress to the floor.

Warm air is lighter than cold, so it is always cooler at the lower levels of the room.

5. Get a fan

Fans are cheap, do not take up space and are a solid alternative if you do not have air conditioning.

6. Make your own air conditioner

Place two bottles of frozen water in front of the fan.

The air flowing out of the fan will further cool the frozen bottles.

Change them every 3-4 hours.

7. Choose cotton instead of silk

Replace the bed of silk, satin or synthetic with the bed of cotton.

Cotton absorbs sweat well and cools the skin.

Also, wear cotton pajamas.
