Genc Nimoni, Chief of Cabinet at the Ministry of Justice, spoke about Vetting in the justice system in Kosovo.

He said that after the opinion from the Venice Commission, the Minister of Justice had gathered to start work, where they had won all the actors, one of the topics of the day of June 27 in the broad working group was the recommendations of the Commission of Venice.

Nimoni stressed that the Venice Commission had ascertained and confirmed the need for such a process to take place as Vettingu, for reform within the justice system.

"In the final opinion by the Venice Commission is confirmed and allowed that an external mechanism to do control or Vetting in the Justice system in Kosovo," he said.

According to him, comprehensive vetting is dangerous, as they had researched in countries in the region which have had a destabilization, due to the application of this method and the same are feared that it could happen to the justice system in Kosovo.

Low levels will not have the right to Vetting for just one "assessment by the mechanisms that complete the vetting such as the Prosecutorial Council, the Judicial Council, and the latter will do the assessment", added Nimoni.

This reform requires care and rationality and must be worked in full compliance with the recommendations of the Venice Commission, according to Nimon.

"Only one entity can be involved in this process because this is a great reform and" the opposition and key actors of the system, judicial and prosecutorial, must also be involved, "he said.
