Workshop on the draft organic farming action plan

2023-2027

Organized by the Office of Agricultural Economics (NESDB), there are presentations of the successful results of driving the organic farming action plan over the past 5 years (2017-2021).

Can increase organic farming area by 1,515,132 rai, with 95,752 farmers doing organic farming, creating export value of organic agricultural products and products by 5,345.33 million baht.

Major products are rice, durian, mangosteen, young coconut, coconut milk and green tea leaves.

At the same time, elements in the draft organic farming action plan were presented.

2023-2027

The vision is “Thailand is the leader of the ASEAN region in the development of organic agriculture to create value on the basis of sustainable development by 2027.”

In 2027, there must be 2.0 million rai of organic farming area, with not less than 1.3 hundred thousand farmers certified by organic agriculture standards (PGS/ TAS 9000/international standards), and organic agricultural products have an increase of 3% per year.
