Severe forest fires that started four days ago in the Turkish province of Mugla have now been brought under full control.

APA's correspondent sent to the region filmed in the areas where the fire was extinguished.

It should be noted that the fires that started in Mugla covered a total area of ​​4,500 hectares.

The fires were more severe in Koyceyiz, Yesilbelde, Dalaman, Marmaris and Seydikemer districts.

In addition, a total of more than 600 different vehicles, including 253 fire engines, more than 30 water trucks, 46 helicopters and 15 aircraft, were involved in the fire.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the relevant instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the BE-200CS amphibious aircraft belonging to the Ministry of Emergency Situations was sent here to extinguish and prevent the spread of forest fires in Turkey.

Our plane flew two flights and dumped more than 120 tons of water in the affected areas.

Turgay Abbasli, Chief Adviser of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, told Azerbaijani journalists that the crew expects new tasks from the local coordination center and will plan directions in accordance with these instructions.
