The Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) held a meeting with representatives of the War, Labor and Armed Forces Veterans Organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan, veterans of the Karabakh war on the occasion of June 26 - Armed Forces Day.

APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that at first, the participants laid flowers in front of the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the yard of the MMG administrative building and paid tribute to the memory of the great leader.

Then the "Heydar Aliyev Museum" reflecting the life and activity of the National Leader was visited.

The event, which began with the national anthem, commemorated the memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country with a minute of silence.

The event was attended by the head of the Department of Military Patriotic Education of the Organization of War, Labor and Armed Forces Veterans, retired Colonel Adil Hagverdiyev, veterans of the Great Patriotic War Vusal Yagubov, Shamkhal Gojayev and veteran of the April battles Ulfat Hasanov.

Speaking at the event, war participants spoke about the services of war veterans in the socio-political life of the country at this stage, who are always loyal to the political ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev, statehood, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

The speakers spoke about the struggle for the restoration of the territorial integrity of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a high level of education of young people in the spirit of military patriotism in achieving our victory.

The event praised the active participation of our veterans and veterans in the socio-political life of our country, their efforts in preparing young people for the army and raising the fighting spirit of our army personnel.

The veterans and veterans thanked the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev for his attention and care.

After the official part of the event, a concert program performed by an exemplary orchestra of the Civil Defense Troops was presented.
