The Macedonian Trade Union Confederation today moved the protest in front of the Ministry of Finance.

Their demand is a linear salary increase of MKD 2,806.

They also say that if electricity becomes more expensive from next month, workers will not be able to afford it.

The union expects an agreement to be reached on Monday.

"An agreement is expected to be reached on Monday, which means that this strike was successful.

In the past two days, in more enterprises and municipalities, we have signed an agreement for a linear salary increase of MKD 2,806 ", said Darko Dimovski, President of the League of Trade Unions.

On the other hand, the Secretary General of LSM Tërpe Dejanoski stressed that employees do not seek luxury, but a way to survive inflation.

"We hope that today the Minister of Finance will come and it will cost us at least 5 minutes for us to say two or three words and hope that our voice will be heard, as the mayor said, we demand a general collective agreement. to do this job ", affirmed Tërpe Dejanoski - trade unionist.

Otherwise, as announced by LSM, the strike will continue, while on Monday the union bodies will decide on additional activities.

Meanwhile, the decision remains that the employees will stay in the workplace, but will not work, except for 10% of the employees who will be available for the needs of the citizens.
