The resigned Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodora Gençovska, at a hearing in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, said that the bilateral Protocol between Skopje and Sofia deviates from Bulgaria's Framework position, therefore guarantees have been sought from the European Union.

Sharing details, she said that Sofia could not recognize the Macedonian language, so it would give its unilateral declaration on the language, because in the negotiating framework there are no additional standards for the Macedonian language, which is also not in line with the Bulgarian positions.

"It is unrealistic to expect our country to be able to persuade all other EU member states to support our position.

"Northern Macedonia envisages the approval of the negotiating framework in its Parliament, and for this reason it is very important that there is no comment on the Macedonian language, in quotes, in the negotiating framework, for which there is support from many EU members." , said Teodora Genchovska - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.

But just as the debate over Bulgaria's release of the Macedonian language was heating up, Slavi Trifonov's deputies unveiled Skopje's stance.

"To see how you will vote now.

"Macedonians have just rejected the French proposal," said Toshko Jordanov, an ITN MP.

The debate in the Commission continued with the review of three crucial documents for the negotiation process of Macedonia and it is expected that during the day the French proposal will be put to a vote in the Commission.

The hearing was preceded by a new series of verbal clashes between Petkov and Borisov.

"Either you are all cowards trying to throw away the hot potato or you are thieves trying to shake the government to steal billions, or you are a statesman.

"If you are a statesman, argue in the commission before the entire Bulgarian people and make the right decision," said Kiril Petkov, Prime Minister of Bulgaria.

"I do a service not a trap.

Yesterday we carried the weight of the solution and offered the opportunity to have a decision.

We will have to explain the French proposal to them at length in the elections and we will probably lose voters, but we will win a united and strong Western Balkans ", said Boyko Borisov, President of GERB.

If the committee approves the French proposal, it will be in plenary session tomorrow or Monday at the latest.
