The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has called insane and shameful the non-liberalization of visas for Kosovo by the European Union.

Rama made these comments today during a press conference in Brussels, where the EU Summit with the leaders of the Western Balkan countries was held.

"There is another kidnapping in the process, which is the kidnapping of Kosovo citizens who are not allowed to move freely in Europe.

It is the only population on European soil that cannot move freely.

And I said unto them, Can ye imagine?

They were under the Yugoslav dictatorship and could travel, go to Germany.

They could go to Switzerland.

They could go anywhere and work… But since they were released, their liberators [the international community] have been holding them hostage.

They can not move.

This is crazy.

"This is shameful and this must end and people must be allowed to move freely," Rama said, Telegrafi reports.

Whereas, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani in the meeting of the leaders of the Western Balkans with the leaders of the European Union stressed that peace and stability in Europe is not possible without the Western Balkans integrated in Euro-Atlantic structures, while for visa liberalization, stressed that Kosovo has done its part, while it is already the EU's turn to decide, reports Telegrafi.

Osmani in front of the audience stressed that the citizens of Kosovo feel discriminated, despite being the most pro-European people and meet all the criteria for visa liberalization for 4 years.

"The irony is that we are here as equal members of the international community, discussing the European agenda, but of course I am sitting among you here today as the only person - the only person - at this table who needs to get a visa to get "part of this summit," she said.
