Queen Elizabeth II is stylishly entering her 71st year on the throne.

The Queen seems to have changed her distinctive style after the "Platinum Jubilee" celebrations earlier this month, debuting a fresh haircut in photos published by Windsor Castle on Wednesday.

In the new photos, which were also posted by the royal family's official Instagram account, the 96-year-old's silver strands look significantly shorter on the side and back.

"I like the Queen's new hair style !!!", one fan commented, while another added: "The Queen looks gorgeous!

"Her new summer hair style looks perfect."

Her Majesty's aide Angela Kelly has written about taking on the additional role of hairdresser during the pandemic in the updated version of her book, "The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe."

"From March 2020 onwards, I washed the Queen's hair every week, straightened and styled it, and even cut it when needed.

"My team called it 'Kelly's Salon,'" she wrote.
