The most important thing from today's summit in Brussels is that a clear message was sent that the countries of the Western Balkans have their place in the EU and that it is very important to restore confidence in reform policies, said Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic. announced Tanjug.

He told reporters after the EU-Western Balkans summit that much had been said about the geopolitical context in the light of the aggression and that the importance of inclusion, especially of the candidate countries, had been further emphasized.

It was clearly emphasized that it is important for all countries to understand that they must base themselves on European values ​​with both feet, Djukanovic stressed.

He noted that discussions had been held on how to overcome the deadlock in European integration, on specific problems surrounding the non-functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the light of the proposal for Bosnia to be granted candidate status.

The president added that they also talked about the process of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and especially about the uncertainty of the start of negotiations with Northern Macedonia and Albania.

We are all looking forward to some initiatives, which, as far as I understand, will be submitted for decision to the Bulgarian Parliament on Monday.

It is unclear whether the initiative will meet Northern Macedonia's expectations.
