With the support of the Ganja City Executive Power and the organization of the Ganja City Committee, the June 23 - Civil Servants' Professional Day was celebrated.

Ganja Executive Power told APA that first the participants laid flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to his memory.

Opening the event, Ganja Mayor Niyazi Bayramov said that the most important event of the past years was the liberation of our lands from occupation.

This victory was achieved thanks to the political will and determination of President Ilham Aliyev, his diplomatic achievements and the strength and power of our Army.

Noting that the restoration process has already been successfully carried out in Karabakh, the mayor stressed the need to unite closely around the head of state and support this work.

The chief executive congratulated the team members on the holiday and wished them success.

Ulviyya Valiyeva, chairwoman of the Ganja City Committee, said that today, along with the Professional Day of Civil Servants, is also the day of the establishment of the Republican Committee of Public Administration and Public Service Workers of Azerbaijan.

On this occasion, the chairman of the committee congratulated the civil servants on behalf of the chairman of the ICRC Hikmet Osmanov and wished them success in their work.

First Deputy Mayor of Ganja Samad Tomuyev thanked President Ilham Aliyev and the mayor for the attention shown on behalf of civil servants.

He noted that people who have dedicated their lives and all their meaningful lives to this field deserve great sympathy, deep respect and esteem.

After the speeches, the mayor congratulated Irada Ata on "Progress" and Natig Binnatov on "Civil Service Distinction" medals for his fruitful work in the civil service by the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev.

At the same time, a group of civil servants were awarded Diplomas for productive work on behalf of the Ganja City Committee.

It should be noted that the professional holiday of civil servants was established by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated May 25, 2006.
