The European Union Summit with the leaders of the Western Balkan countries has ended, while the announced press conference has been canceled, and there is no official press release for the summit.

Initially, the meeting of the leaders of the Western Balkans with the leaders of the EU states had started at 09:30, while the press conference was announced at 11:45.

After that, the conference was again postponed to 12:45, and then canceled, reports Telegrafi.

In a statement to the media, the President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, said that during the summit many participants spoke about visa liberalization for Kosovo.

"In the foreground was the issue of starting the negotiation process with Northern Macedonia and Albania, and with it the issue of ensuring visa liberalization for Kosovo.

In addition, they talked about granting candidate status not only to Ukraine and Moldova, but during the talks there was a lot of talk about getting candidate status for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"So, let us hope that the tones from this meeting will be very inspiring for the work of the European Council this afternoon", said Djukonovic, writes Rel.

No official communiqué has been issued so far regarding the summit of the Western Balkan countries.

The President of the country, Vjosa Osmani in the meeting of the leaders of the Western Balkans with the leaders of the European Union stressed that peace and stability in Europe is not possible without the Western Balkans integrated in Euro-Atlantic structures, while for visa liberalization, stressed that Kosovo has done part of it, while it is already the EU's turn to decide.

Osmani in front of the audience stressed that the citizens of Kosovo feel discriminated, despite being the most pro-European people and meet all the criteria for visa liberalization for 4 years.

"The irony is that we are here as equal members of the international community, discussing the European agenda, but of course I am sitting here with you today as the only person - the only person - at this table who needs to get a visa to get "part of this summit," she said.

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, also spoke about visa liberalization.

She described today as historic, while referring to visa liberalization for Kosovo and the opening of negotiations for Albania and Northern Macedonia, said that these two issues need to be resolved.

Meanwhile, after the summit, the expert on the Balkans, Professor Florian Bieber wrote in a Twitter post that there is no visa liberalization for Kosovo and no opening of membership negotiations with Northern Macedonia and Albania.

No accession talks with 🇲🇰🇦🇱

No visa liberalization for 🇽🇰

No candidate status for 🇧🇦

No democracy in 🇷🇸

No progress with 🇲🇪

This is NOT the way to show 🇺🇦🇲🇩 that they have an 🇪🇺 future.
