The Ministry of Agriculture will organize weekend fairs "From Village to City" on June 25-26.

The fairs will be held at three different addresses in Baku and Absheron, the ministry told APA-Economics.

The main purpose of the fairs is to create an alternative sales channel for local farms, as well as to provide city residents with natural, seasonal and healthy agricultural products.

In total, about 100 farmers will represent about 50 regions at the "From Village to City" weekend fairs.

Farmers will sell about 100 varieties of agricultural and food products.

The quality of products sold at fairs will be monitored by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency.

Thus, the Mobile Food Laboratory will operate at the fair.

Citizens can use the services of the laboratory to study the quality of any product on sale.

It should be noted that farmers participate in the weekend fairs "From Village to City" completely free of charge.

They are provided with counters, scales, refrigerators and other necessary accessories and equipment.

Logistics support is also provided to farmers who have difficulty transporting their products.

Their products are transported directly from their farms to the addresses of the fair.
