APA-Economics estimates that this figure decreased by 1.1% compared to April, according to Ookla's Speedtest Global Index.


In May of this year, the speed of outgoing traffic on the country's mobile networks decreased by 1% compared to April and amounted to 10.04 Mbit / s.

It should be noted that the input and output speeds of mobile traffic around the world were 30.37 Mbit / s and 8.6 Mbit / s, respectively.

According to the results of May, Azerbaijan ranked 61st among 141 countries on this indicator, falling by 4 points.


Norway (129.4 Mbit / s), UAE (124.89 Mbit / s) and Qatar (117.61 Mbit / s) are in the top three in terms of mobile internet speed.

According to the rating, in May of this year, the input speed of fixed broadband Internet traffic in Azerbaijan was 21.01 Mbit / s, and the output speed was 22.96 Mbit / s.

Compared to April, the input speed increased by 3.6% and the output speed increased by 4.8%.

According to the results of May this year, Azerbaijan ranked 118th out of 182 countries (as in April) in the ranking of fixed Internet speeds.


The top three countries with the fastest stable Internet in the world were Singapore - 209.21 Mbit / s, Chile - 206.97 Mbit / s and Thailand - 188.31 Mbit / s.

In May of this year, the average speed of input and output traffic of the global fixed Internet was 64.7 Mbit / s and 27.74 Mbit / s, respectively.
