The Organization for Quality Enhancement in Education (ORCA), through an action held today, has demanded the dismissal and removal of academic titles for professors Ardian Kastrati and Bujar Dugolli.

This is after the Ethics Council at the University of Prishtina (UP), decided that both professors in question, through plagiarism have won titles.

Professor Dugolli himself reacted to this decision, calling it unprofessional, arbitrary, influenced by ORCA and the rector of UP.

"Through this reaction I want to oppose the decision of the Ethics Council, dated 16.06.2022, as an unprofessional, arbitrary decision, influenced by 'ORCA' and the Rector of UP, who to realize their interests, to maintain in control of UP, are continuing this campaign, for a year now, avoiding the focus from the harmful developments for the university, from the managerial aspect, to the serious abuses of the task and the budget of UP ", it is said in his reaction .

Further, the professor accused ORCA that for a year now he is conducting an orchestrated campaign against him, as he said, to hinder him in his academic and professional development.

For a year now, the 'ORCA' Organization, initiated, as she says by an anonymous e-mail, has been continuing the orchestrated campaign, perhaps supported by other structures, to hinder me in my academic and professional development and to realize their interests in order to capture the University, to stop thinking differently, in the decision-making bodies of UP and in order to realize their business interests ”.

Regarding the decision of the Ethics Council, Dugolli said that he did not take into account his papers and the evidence provided by the other plagiarism detection platform.

"Without taking into account any professional opinion, it comes to conclusions that satisfy the egos of the denouncers and the supporters of this orchestrated campaign.

"For me, this decision is unacceptable and unprofessional!"

The university professor further warned that he would follow all the appeal procedures, while confirming that "I will not stop at the promotion and protection of the University of Prishtina, as I have always done, for 26 years now".
