Kosovo Police has announced that today they are conducting an action in the region of Ferizaj against the use of telephones while driving.

According to the police, this action is being carried out in cooperation between police officers in civilian clothes from the Regional Road Traffic Unit and police officers in uniform from the police station of Ferizaj.

"Today, from 10:00, the Regional Police of Ferizaj has launched an action coded 'Using the phone while driving'.

This action, unlike other actions is being carried out in cooperation with the police in civilian clothes from the Regional Unit of Road Traffic and the police in uniform from the police station of Ferizaj.

A police patrol in civilian clothes, in different locations, identifies the drivers who cause various traffic violations, with special emphasis, using the phone while driving and notifies the police patrol which is in uniform.

"After identifying the offender, he is stopped by the police in uniform and fined, according to the law on road traffic", announced the police.

According to the police, this action will continue in the coming days in order to prevent accidents.

"This action will continue in the coming days and aims to prevent road traffic accidents, because such violations have often caused accidents," said the police.
