The mysterious colonel who all the time carried the bag of Russian President Vladimir Putin inside which are the codes of nuclear weapons, was shot with a gun at his house near Moscow, writes the Mirror.

Vadim Zimin, 53, was found with gunshot wounds in the kitchen of his house in Krasnogorsk in the Moscow region, Telegrafi reports.

He is in critical condition and is in the intensive care unit.

He is known to the public as the mysterious man or Russian colonel, who constantly carried the bag of the Russian president who has the codes for launching nuclear weapons.

The retired Russian Secret Service colonel, known as the FSB, has been exclusively engaged in carrying Putin's bag, which always stood next to the Russian leader.

He had performed this task even in the time of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

He then continued his career in the Secret Service, where with the coming to power of Putin he returned with the rank of colonel who would keep the bag of nuclear weapons codes.

At the time of the attack, his wife, a medical worker, was not at home after healing Putin's wounded soldiers in the ongoing war in Ukraine.

He was charged with bribery after he had recently passed through the customs service, and because of this action he was under house arrest at the time of the attack.

It was his brother who was in the toilet at the time, who found him injured.

A Izh 79-9TM pistol was found at the scene of the attack, which appears to have been used for the attack.
