More than 920 people have been killed and hundreds injured in an earthquake in Afghanistan this morning.

This is shown by the data of the local authorities.

The quake was 6.1 on the Richter scale, according to the European Seismological Center.

The worst damage is in the eastern province of Paktika, where more than 90 houses were destroyed and nearly 250 people died.

Rescue helicopters also arrived on the scene, as authorities believe dozens of people have been trapped under the rubble.

The aftershocks were also felt in Pakistan and India, Nova TV reported.
