US officials are confident that Turkey's objections to Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO will be resolved.

APA reports that the statement came from a high-ranking representative of the US administration, citing US President Joe Biden.

He said Biden made the remarks at a special telephone briefing on the G7 leaders' meeting in Germany, as well as his upcoming visit to NATO.

"We are confident that Turkey's fears will be allayed and that we can reach a consensus as an ally," he said.
