A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection with another group of martyrs' families and participants of the Great Patriotic War.

The ministry told APA that social support measures implemented on the instructions of President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev after the 44-day war were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Asam Ibrahimli, father of Hero of the Patriotic War martyr Adil Ibrahimli, father of Hero of the Patriotic War martyr Surkhay Nochuyev Abdul Nochuyev, as well as members of other martyrs' families and veterans.

Members of the families of martyrs, our veterans expressed their satisfaction with the work done to improve their welfare, social and living conditions, the support provided, and thanked the head of state for the attention and care.

They also expressed their views and suggestions.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anar Aliyev noted the work done in the post-war period to cover the families of martyrs, veterans with social protection and active employment programs, rehabilitation services.

It was stated that 190,000 services were provided to 100,000 people, including members of the martyr's family and veterans, during the post-war period.

104,000 of them were proactively assigned 104,000 social payments.

In particular, monthly social payments were set to 7,979 family members of martyrs and 81,856 veterans of the Second Karabakh War.

Disability and social benefits were provided to 3,000 wounded and expired servicemen.

The program to provide housing for the families of martyrs and war invalids was expanded five times last year, and 3,500 families of martyrs and war invalids were provided with housing and individual housing during the post-war period.

In the last 4 years, 1,500 cars have been provided to cars, 264 to cars in the post-war period, 100 this year, and 7,450 in the past.

After the war, more than 12.1 thousand veterans and families of martyrs were involved in active employment programs.

The system of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population also pays special attention to the employment of war veterans, and 176 of those working in this system are war veterans.

During the post-war period, 200 servicemen of the Second Karabakh War, a total of 300 war invalids were provided with high-tech prostheses, more than 1,400 war invalids were provided with more than 19.3 thousand rehabilitation aids, 2,500 veterans rehabilitation services, 5,000 families with social and psychological services.

Last year, families of martyrs, war invalids, pensions of National Heroes, benefits since the beginning of this year, on average, 60%, in the last 4 years, families of martyrs, war invalids pensions and benefits on average 2.5 times, war invalids benefits more than 2 times, average monthly pensions increased by 75 percent.

The above-mentioned support measures, the expansion of social programs related to the families of martyrs and war veterans will continue in the future.
