Science has found that not only do men become more stupid in the presence of women, but just mentioning a woman's name can have such an effect on them

Psychologist Johan Karremans and study author Sanne Nauts shared the Stroop test (basic cognitive test) with 71 men and women and asked them to respond in an instant message to examiners who would be introduced by male or female name.

Although the test did not affect women in any cognitive way, unfortunately men failed in their cognitive skills after hearing the woman's name.

In other words, their brains simply could not function at full capacity just because they read female names like 'Amanda' or 'Natalie' on screen.

During the second experiment, all actors were told that a woman or a man would send a message.

Although these messages were never sent to them, the men turned out to be upset by the possibility of the woman sending them a message and again they were unable to think at full capacity.

What did they think would happen if the woman sent them a message?

The question now is how much influence a woman actually has on a man, writes Your Tango.

The reason why they are so anxious and busy is unclear, but Nauts's explanation is that men are more likely to "perceive relatively neutral situations in a sexual sense" than women, and that's the problem with their basic functioning.
