Canada and the United States have said it will be difficult for Europe to give up Russian oil.

APA reports quoting Gazeta.ru that the head of the Canadian Ministry of Finance Christia Freeland said this at a press conference.

"We understand that the situation is more difficult with the refusal of our European partners to supply Russian oil.

In this regard, we continue to discuss this issue with our partners, "he said.

Earlier it was noted that Canada and Germany are negotiating equipment for the North Stream gas pipeline, and during these talks the countries are trying to find a solution to the problem.

Earlier, on the same day, the Canadian Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection announced that Germany was discussing with the Canadian government the supply of Siemens gas turbines.
