Rama: 'Open Balkans' does not unite us nor divide us, Albania will open the market unilaterally

"It is true that the Open Balkans do not unite us, but it is just as true that it does not divide us.

"Which means that at this point we have different perspectives, this is not a secret which means that they will not hinder us for bilateral relations", said Rama, writes Telegrafi.

He noted that in terms of customs tariffs, Albania will open the market.

"My message from the government I lead is that everything that is implemented with the Open Balkans must be implemented with Kosovo as well.

The abolition of all customs tariffs for companies is today in the Open Balkans, we want to do it with Kosovo as well.

"In terms of tariffs, Kosovo has asked us for time to do a feasibility study, but we will open it in a one-sided way", he added.

Edi Rama: Kurti's government can be overthrown only by a protest of Albin, otherwise there is no one to overthrow it

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has also stated about whether he is trying to overthrow Albin Kurti from power.

To the questions of the journalists who said that it was rumored that he was working to overthrow the Kurti Government, Rama answered that Kurti could only be overthrown by one of his protests.

"The Kurti government can be overthrown only by a protest of Albin, as long as Albini does not protest against his government, there is no one to overthrow him," Rama said.

He added that he has many friendly relations with Kurti.

"We have a long-standing relationship with Albin, which is very friendly and which will always be so.

It sounds like a joke but it's true.

If you are when we are together and you see the volume of laughter and auto-irony that unites us, you will probably be surprised and then you will say no, this is not Vuiqiiq's brother but Albin's brother, so let me be the brother of both that "I will probably need you in the future," Rama said.

Although it has often been talked about the not very good relations between the two prime ministers, Rama even today at the beginning of the joint meeting said that it is a special pleasure every time he meets with Kurti.

"I thank Albin in particular, and it is a special pleasure even though few people believe him when I say it, but since we meet we have a full synergy and we laugh a lot", said Rama.

Rama: It is being speculated for political reasons, I am not interested in getting involved in the political life of Kosovo

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama in the joint conference with the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, said that after each joint meeting they approach a little closer to the major goal of the strategic partnership document between our two countries signed in Prizren in 2014.

"We have agreed that on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Independence of Albania, to organize for the first time the joint Assembly of the two republics.

A jubilee session where the deputies of both countries will be together to address the Albanian people ", said Rama.

The Prime Minister of Albania added that also today they have agreed to publish the joint government magazine at the end of the year, to see all the agreements and the level of their implementation.

Rama also had some words for those about whom he said that they want to make comments between the reports of the two governments.

"With the current government we have the highest level of implementation of the agreements signed, including those agreements that have been signed in the past.

I hope that this will be considered a fact and not serve as a reason to make speculations of a political nature, because I am not interested in getting involved in the political life of Kosovo ", said Rama.

Rama further added that it would be a surprise if he would agree on everything with Kurti.

"It would be a surprise if we agreed with Albin on everything, this would be a problem then, the fact that we do not agree on everything means that we are fine," said Rama.
