The protests against the attempts of the new majority in the parliament to stage a coup and break the new hope for a European future were scheduled both as a date and as a place last week, when the request for resignation of Parliament Speaker Nikola Minchev was submitted.

Everything on the topic:

Coalition tremors 254

It was known that on the day of the vote of no confidence in parliament, Bulgarian citizens would gather, dissatisfied with the opposition's attempts to overthrow the government during the crisis.

Concerned by this decision of the Bulgarian people, some politicians, such as Kostadin Kostadinov from Vazrazhdane, saw a solution in the well-known and well-tested method - counter-protest.

With the "assistance" of the Sofia Municipality, which gave the green light for the counter-protest in question, despite the great public debate, despite the previously publicly announced intention of the citizens, two groups of extremely divided positions came to face each other. another.

Some protesters in the past have shown strong aggression, as they clashed with police in January in an attempt to invade parliament.

Their supporters also clashed with police on May 11th when they marched on Sofia Municipality.

It is interesting that it was the office of the mayor of Sofia that was stormed by a tower paid for by Vazrazhdane, and a little later there were clashes with the police around the march against the municipality.

Nevertheless, the "lessons" seem unlearned and give way to proven aggressive gatherings of people who strongly resemble the behavior of agitators.

It is difficult to discern logic in the confrontation of two strongly opposing groups, one of which is markedly aggressive.

The measure that will be taken is to separate them - some on one side, others - on the other.

What will protect them before and after the official hours of the protests, how will they disperse without meeting, will the police send them home, will there be a uniformed person next to everyone?

- it's not clear.

Meanwhile, the municipality announced that not two, but 11 notifications were submitted for protests in the National Assembly Square.

Here is what the message says:

"

11 notifications for protests on National Assembly Square in the period June 21-23 were received in Sofia Municipality in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Assemblies, Rallies and Demonstrations.

5 of the notifications were submitted by associations and political parties - these are the political party movement "Yes Bulgaria", the party "Revival", the Bulgarian National Movement IMRO, the Association "Tolerance" and the national movement "Khan Kubrat", and the remaining 6 were submitted by various individuals.

The stated goals of the protest events are: against the replacement of Nikola Minchev;

in support of the government of Kiril Petkov;

against the cabinet of Kiril Petkov and a request for the resignation of the government;

for European Bulgaria without mafia;

against high fuel prices;

for compensation for high energy prices;

protection of the Bulgarian national interest in Macedonia ".

It is clear that certain groups are trying to ride the wave.

It is also clear that others are trying to intimidate protesters.

But why should the police be used as a shield?

To risk the lives and health of employees?

To waste a resource?

Why take unnecessary risks?

Is there any doubt that one of the groups of counter-protesters is trying to be supported?

And in a press release, Kostadinov himself used the words "

civil war

" and in particular: "Kostadinov:

They are preparing us for a civil war

."

He goes on to compare with the Maidan in Ukraine (!!!), speaking with "strong" comparisons and epithets: "

murder policy

";

"

Almost every Bulgarian is worried about his physical survival

.

We spent several months fearing that we would be formally involved in a conventional war… "," A division is brewing, and its leading physical expression is paid provocateurs… "

He is probably right about the latter, although the addressee is different…

But from here you can see what tone is set and what rhetoric he aims to support.
