The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile strike on Chernomorneftegaz's drilling rigs, said Alexei Goncharenko, a People's Deputy of Ukraine from European Solidarity, and Sergei Aksyonov, head of the Russian administration of annexed Crimea.

In 2014, drilling rigs, fleet and other property of the Ukrainian state company "Chernomorneftegaz" were seized during the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

After that, the state company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" lost control over the Crimean company.

The drilled rigs that were hit are 100 kilometers from Odessa and 150 kilometers from the Crimea.

They were also used by Russia to monitor the surface situation with the help of radio reconnaissance.

"The missile strike on the towers slightly hindered gas production in the Ukrainian Black Sea by the Russians," Goncharenko

wrote in a telegram .

Aksenov

said there were 109 people on the three towers.

According to him, the strongest blow came on the first tower.

"There were 12 people there, five of them wounded, the search for the rest continues," he was quoted as saying by Interfax.

According to him, gas supply to Crimea is not disrupted.

Russian senator from the annexed Crimea

Olga Kaviditsi

said that production at the fields affected by the impact of Ukraine has been suspended.

According to her, the blow was struck on three platforms - BK1, BK2, BK3.

The last two were not affected, BK1 will be restored, she said.

  • "Chernomorneftegaz" was restored on the mainland of Ukraine.
