The head of the Institute for Democracy Societas Civilis in Skopje, Marko Troshanovski, said in a television interview that the French proposal must pass the assembly.

He said that the Bulgarian demands do not help the state issue of Macedonia so much, but complement the Bulgarian interests.

"We can not interpret as successful the possible solution that Bulgarians want to be part of the constitution and not be classified as a minority.

This work opens a special chapter in which many problems in our country will be negotiated.

This issue requires in-depth analysis and adequate solutions, before it becomes known to our public, because this chapter opens first and closes last.

"It will lose the legitimacy and support of the citizens in many processes", said Troshanovski.

He considers that the assembly should consider and accept the proposal from France.

"This is an extremely important document that our country must accept from our independence until today.

Acceptance of the document must be approved by the Assembly.

This decision must be taken by the Assembly.

If we accept where the Government will secure the qualified majority and if we start negotiations, the constitution should be changed.

"But it will not work because the opposition is determined against it and in the coming years this whole process will be torture," Troshanovski said.

The head of the Institute for Democracy Societas Civilis in Skopje considers that the silence of the Macedonian authorities on the French proposal is not a good step.

"Our reception, tactics, I think is not a good step.

This proposed framework that we must accept or reject.

We could comment on the Lisbon proposal whether we would accept it or not, and we were silent on the French proposal.

I think that if we send a clear position on behalf of the country that this framework is not acceptable to us, then the other party will know and will not be punished or there will be member states that will support us.

"If we expect member states like the Czech Republic and Slovakia, they have saved us before and we accept them tacitly," Troshanovski said.
