The decision to suspend the transit of a number of goods from the Lithuanian region of Kaliningrad is unprecedented, and Russia considers it illegal.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that this was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"This is a truly unprecedented decision. It is a violation of everything. We understand that this is due to the relevant decision of the European Union - the imposition of sanctions on transit. We also consider it illegal," said a Kremlin spokesman.
