The trial transfer of gas from Greece to Bulgaria through the interconnector Komotini-Stara Zagora has started.

A trial quantity of Azerbaijani natural gas is expected to be delivered by the end of June, and the delivery of the agreed quantities will start on July 1.

Natural gas in Europe with a maximum price of more than two months

This was announced on Twitter by the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria Dr. Hussein Husseinov.

The interconnector is a joint project and is being developed in the two countries.

The pipeline will receive the full volume of Azeri gas, but liquefied gas supplies from the United States, Qatar, Egypt and Israel are possible.

The capacity is 3 billion cubic meters - the amount can meet almost entirely the needs of the country and can be increased further.
