Today in Pristina will be held the eighth joint meeting between the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Albania.

Several agreements are expected to be signed between the two governments in the fields of justice, education, agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and public safety.

According to the already published agenda, the delegation of the Government of Albania will arrive at 10:45 at the place where the meeting will be held.

After him, at 11:00, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, will arrive.

The opening of the plenary session of the meeting between the two Governments will start at 11:15, where the ministers will be addressed first by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and after him by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.

This will be followed by a presentation on the national port and railway infrastructure in function of the common national market and four economic freedoms: the project of the new commercial port in Porto Romano, the integration with the Durrës - Prishtina railway, and the Dry Port in Kosovo.

At 12:30 it is planned to sign the government agreements, which will be followed by a joint conference by the two prime ministers.

Due to this meeting, the Kosovo Police has announced that it will take care of providing security and maintaining public order.

Police also announce that today there will be temporary interruptions at short intervals of traffic flow.

"At the time of arrival of state representatives from Albania, to enable free movement of official escort under escort and security, Kosovo Police, today in the afternoon (19.06.2022) and tomorrow (20.06.2022) according to the movement itinerary of personalities / delegations will make temporary interruptions in short time intervals of traffic circulation in some road segments where the delegations are expected to pass ", it is said in the announcement.

So far, seven joint meetings have been held between Kosovo and Albania, where over 100 agreements have been signed between the two countries.

The last meeting of the Kosovo-Albania governments was held on November 26, 2021, which ended with the signing of 13 agreements.
