Bharat Bandh: Youth protesting against Agneepath scheme.

Bharat Bandh Today: :

The youth of the country are unhappy with the Agneepath scheme for recruitment in the Indian Army.

Dissatisfied with the new scheme, youths are protesting fiercely in different states of the country.

After the announcement of the plan on Tuesday, a round of uproar has erupted.

Especially in Bihar and UP, youth are performing fiercely.

Apart from this, in other states including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, some states of the south, youth are protesting against the new scheme of the government by taking to the road. 

Important information related to the case:

  • In this sequence, on Monday i.e. today Bharat Bandh has been called by youth organizations.

    Here, the police of many states have become alert regarding the call of the youth.

    To deal strictly with the miscreants and to avoid any untoward incident, the police are making elaborate preparations. 

  • Kerala Police said its entire force will be on duty on Monday to arrest anyone involved in violence or damage to public property.

  • Schools will remain closed in Jharkhand on Monday amid the bandh call.

    News agency PTI quoted officials as saying that the ongoing examinations of class 9 and 11 have also been postponed in view of the bandh.

  • In Gautam Buddh Nagar near Delhi, police said prohibitory orders have been imposed to ban large gatherings.

    People have been asked not to disturb law and order.

    Those found doing so will be dealt with strictly.

  • In Faridabad near Delhi, police spokesperson Sube Singh said they were trying to avert any untoward incident.

    Blockades have been put in place at various places and over 2,000 policemen will be fielded tomorrow.

  • Punjab's ADGP, Law and Order has given special instructions to all CPs and SSPs to maintain law and order during Bharat Bandh.

    He said in a tweet that we are also keeping an eye on those who spread wrong information from social media.

    We will take special care that no one misuses this platform during the Bharat Bandh. 

  • The Congress said lakhs of party workers across the country will hold a peaceful protest on Monday against the Agneepath scheme and the central government's "politics of vendetta" towards Rahul Gandhi.

    The party has clarified earlier also that it is with the youth. 

  • Let us inform that on June 14, the Central Government had unveiled the short-term contractual recruitment program "Agneepath" for the recruitment of soldiers in the Army, Navy and Air Force.

    Under the programme, young men and women in the age group of 17-and-a-half to 21 years are to be recruited into the Army, Navy and Air Force primarily on a four-year short-term contract basis.

  • As the protests intensified, the Center raised the upper age limit for recruitment to 23 years only for the year 2022.

    However, in this regard, the government says that no decision has been taken after seeing the commotion.

    The changes were predetermined. 

  • After meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday, the three army chiefs did PC.

    In this, he gave all the information regarding the scheme.

    Also appealed to the youth to leave the demonstration and prepare for the recruitment.

    There is no place for indiscipline in the army.
