At the initiative of the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, an open-air seminar on "Fire safety measures for the supply of grain in the summer" was held in the grain field in the Gabala region.

APA's local bureau reports that Deputy Chief of the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel of the Internal Service Vagif Ibrahimov, Head of the Department of the State Fire Service, Lieutenant-Colonel Jamil Khudiyev, Deputy Head of the Gabala District Executive Power Arif Allahverdiyev, Rahib Ahmadov, head of the Gabala Agrarian Development Center, representatives of the Gabala Police Department, the District Prosecutor's Office, the Gabala Regional Forestry Center, Agroleasing LLC, as well as representatives of the district administration, mayors and heads of individual farms attended.

In addition to general fire safety measures in the summer season, the importance of fire safety rules during harvesting, transportation, storage and processing of cereals and technical crops, non-burning of arable lands, construction of fire-fighting strips by plowing roadsides and forests was stressed.

It was noted that in addition to growing a rich crop, its supply and processing is also an important condition.

Therefore, in solving the tasks related to the supply of grain and industrial crops, the fire safety of this important product, especially strategically important grain, must always be in the center of attention, and all necessary measures must be taken.

First of all, it should be noted that along with the sowing of grain and industrial crops, forest fire protection is the main task not only of fire safety officers, but also of all people working in the agricultural sector, including farms, and they have serious tasks in this area.

It was noted that every year in preparation for the hay and grain harvest season, the State Fire Control Service conducts seminars and fire propaganda events in all regions with the participation of local executive authorities, mayors, farmers, heads of agricultural services, forest protection and restoration departments.

But despite the fact that these events are held every year, unfortunately, fires occur in grain fields and forests.

During the investigation, the fires were caused by various reasons, carelessness during smoking, failure of vehicle systems, mechanisms and parts, accidents on high-voltage overhead power lines, sparks from the furnace, lack of spark arresters in the discharge pipes of combines and other equipment. was.

It was noted that the burning of harvested grain fields is prohibited, and the owner of the grain field is responsible for this.

As noted, the grass and grain harvest season is about to begin.

Fire safety rules must be strictly observed to protect grain and industrial crops from fire at a time when combine harvesters are going to the fields, ie harvesting grain, silage for cattle, haylage, dry hay.

First of all, it was noted that the relevant legislation stipulates that each head of the farm, regardless of the form of ownership, is responsible for the safety of facilities under his jurisdiction.

Therefore, from the beginning to the end of the hay harvest and grain harvest, farm managers must ensure compliance with fire safety rules, and in this regard, conduct appropriate awareness-raising activities among agricultural workers.

Cereals and grass,

Prior to the start of straw harvesting, all farm managers must provide agricultural machinery with primary firefighting equipment, and appoint persons responsible for fire safety control during the collection, transportation, processing and storage of cereals and industrial crops.

Drivers of tractors and combines involved in harvesting, their assistants, other mechanizers, as well as each person involved in harvesting must be properly instructed in firefighting according to a special program.

Persons not instructed in fire safety should not be allowed to participate in the harvest.

Equipment involved in grain harvesting must undergo a fire technical inspection before the start of harvesting, and be released to the field after a report on their compliance with fire safety requirements.

Discharge pipes of engines of all equipment involved in the assembly must be provided with spark arresters, there must be no damage to the joints between the collectors and the discharge pipe.

If autumn plowing is carried out near unharvested crops at the same time as harvesting, then plowing tractors should also be provided with spark arresters.

The use of vehicles without a hood or with an open hood shall not be permitted in order to prevent straw products from falling into the engine outlet manifold.

The compliance of the equipment participating in the assembly with the fire safety requirements must be checked by a special commission organized at each enterprise together with an employee of the local State Fire Control Agency.

A number of other necessary measures must be taken without delay to ensure fire safety during the ripening of cereals and industrial crops.

Thus, when forest strips, roads and railways are close to grain crops, they should be cut between them and plowed with a width of not less than 4 meters.

Mowed grass should be piled at least 30 meters away from grain crops.

When the grain ripens, guards must be assigned by the responsible persons to protect the crops from fire.

Harvested grass and grain must be transported beyond that area.

During the grain harvest and hay supply, temporary field camps are used to remove grain, threshing, etc.

should be located at least 100 meters away from fire hazards.

A number of necessary fire safety measures must be taken during the harvest.

In order to prevent fires that may occur in the vicinity of the harvested grain fields, tractors should be used, straw and fire should not be allowed in and around the grain fields.

Fuel supply of tractors, combines and other machines in the field should be carried out by refueling machines after the cessation of their engines.

It is not allowed to refuel equipment at night.

The seminar-meeting focused on the provision of agricultural machinery with primary firefighting equipment, creating conditions for firefighting equipment to take water from natural water bodies to restore water resources, and other requirements, and answered questions of the participants.
