Russia's air defense systems have shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft and eight unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing today.

A spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 in the Chervonnaya Dolina district of Mykolayiv over the past day. Eight Ukrainian drones were shot down in Popasnaya settlements and Snake Island.

Igor Konashenko also said that Russian "Caliber" missiles hit a command post of Ukrainian troops near the settlement of Shirokaya Dacha in Dnepropetrovsk region yesterday, killing dozens of generals and officers.

According to him, at the command post at that time there was a working meeting of the command staff of the operational-strategic group "Alexandria": "As a result of the strike, more than 50 generals and officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Operating air-attack troops and units were destroyed.
