During his visit to The Hague, Speaker Konjufca met with some of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who are being held in custody.

On Saturday, June 18, Konjufca met with former Vetëvendosje Movement MP Rexhep Selimi, former KLA spokesman Jakup Krasniqi and Pjetër Shala.

"Today, together with the Speaker of Parliament Konjufca, we started the visits to The Hague, we met the former Speaker of Parliament Jakup Krasniqi and Pjetër Shala, after lunch we meet General Rexhep Selimi.

"Tomorrow, former President Hashim Thaçi and former Speaker of Parliament Kadri Veseli, as well as the convicts from the association of war veterans, Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj", wrote Kërçeli.

Among other things, the Speaker of Parliament Konjufca said that they are making this visit in order to see closely how the former KLA leaders are being treated.

"It is clear that in some respects they are either violating their rights.

They are approaching the 2-year detention period and nothing has been done.

They were not even provided with protection at large.

We are concerned as institutions.

We will talk to Messrs. Thaçi, Selimi, Krasniqi and Veseli about these issues ", Konjufca said days ago.
