The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, during his stay in the flour factory, M & Sillosi in Xërxë of Rahovec, has announced that the government he leads, will remove all customs tariffs with Kosovo, starting from the products agricultural.

Rama said this while visiting this wheat processing complex, while calling on the Kosovo government to do the same, Anise said that they will respect their request to analyze this issue further.

Together with the Minister [Frida Krifca] we talked about increasing cooperation and the complete melting of all border barriers, even when it comes to agricultural products, this is A.

We have made a plan that we will remove all customs tariffs with Kosovo, we will completely remove them.

We want it to become bilateral with the Government of Kosovo, but we will do it, they have asked for more time to analyze it.

It does not make sense to remove them for the countries of the Open Balkans and not to remove them for Kosovo.

Thus we will remove the tariffs for all lines from Kosovo, except for the scanning because it is inherited and does not move but in all the rest there will be no more tariffs for all those who will export from Kosovo to Albania ”.

Rama said that it does not make sense to open the border for the Open Balkans and not to open it for Kosovo.

"Conversely, the government of Kosovo should do it, but if the government of Kosovo wants more time to study it, we will do it anyway.

"Because we do not want to have it without tariffs for the Open Balkans and not have it with Kosovo, it is meaningless", declared Rama.

Otherwise, the Government of Kosovo together with that of Albania will hold on Monday the eighth joint meeting.

According to the agenda, several agreements are expected to be signed at this meeting.

The opening of the plenary session of the meeting will start at 11:15, where the ministers will first be addressed by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, followed by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.
