A conference entitled "Azerbaijanism: a guarantor of religious solidarity and coexistence" was organized by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations in Oguz.

APA's North-West bureau reports that the film "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijanism" was shown before the conference.

Sayavush Heydarov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Eyvaz Gurbanov, Head of the Oguz Region Executive Power, a representative of the Caucasian Muslims Office, as well as members of Muslim religious communities, representatives of the Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Albanian-Udi Christian, Chairmen of Oghuz Jewish, Baku Alov, Gakh Georgian St. Orthodox Church, Sumgayit Molokan Spiritual-Christian, Baku Evangelical Christian Baptist Church and Azerbaijan Baha'i Religious Center took part.

It was noted during the speeches that Oguz region is one of the regions where the system of multicultural values, religious communities and churches, synagogues and mosques, as well as various minorities and ethnic groups coexist.

It was noted that the restoration and reconstruction of historical and religious monuments, including mosques, churches, synagogues, the construction of new houses of worship is part of the policy pursued by the Azerbaijani state in this area.
