The wait for the people of Delhi-NCR for the monsoon is going to end soon.

Actually, according to the information being received from the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has reached Jharkhand and in the next few days it may enter Delhi as well.

On Saturday, Ranchi Meteorological Department head Abhishek Anand told that the monsoon has reached Jharkhand.

Although it has arrived late by eight days.

He said that the first monsoon rains also occurred in Sahebganj, Godda, Pakur and Dumka districts of the state.

Monsoon will reach other parts of the state in the next few days.  

Anand said that even though the rainfall in the state in June is slightly less than the expected, but in July the monsoon will be at its peak.

Let us inform that the date of arrival of monsoon in Jharkhand is June 10.

But since 2010, the monsoon always reaches here only between June 12 and 25.

In the year 2021, the state received its first monsoon rains on June 12.

In June this year, the state has recorded 50 percent less rainfall than the average.

All 23 districts of the state have received below average rainfall this month.

However, on Friday, there was moderate rain in almost all parts of the state. 

At the same time, the India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for Delhi.

According to the department, there is a warning of thunderstorms or light rain in the next six days.

By Sunday, the mercury is expected to drop to 35 degree Celsius.

Monsoon season starts from June 1.

But so far no rainfall has been recorded in the national capital.

Usually the first 13 days of the month receive 13.8 mm of rain.


Mahesh Palawat, Vice President (Climate Change and Meteorology) Skymet Weather said that the normal date of monsoon in Delhi is expected to arrive on June 27 or a day or two before.

Palawat said that now there is very little chance of return of heatwave conditions in Delhi.

After June 21, the weather will clear up and dry westerly winds will start but a sharp rise in temperature has not been predicted.
