The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu said that they have received the green light from the Venice Commission for the start of Vetting as well as in justice and the Establishment of the State Bureau for the verification and confiscation of unjustifiable property.

Haxhiu through a press conference with the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti stressed that on Friday they participated in a plenary session of the Vienna Commission

"We have just returned from Venice.

We participated in the plenary session of the Venice Commission which was held yesterday, in which the opinions of the committee for the concept paper on Vetting and the one on the Draft Law on the State Bureau for verification and confiscation of property were published.

We have presented arguments and the position of Kosovo institutions regarding the importance of the Vetting process in the justice system and the necessity of establishing a State Bureau for verification and confiscation of property ", she said.

Haxhiu also said that they have received the green light to start with Vetting and the establishment of the State Bureau for verification and confiscation of property.

"We have received the green light to start with the vetting and the bureau… there is a necessary need for justice reform.

The Commission initially recommends the verification of high levels in the judiciary.

"Regular evaluation of other judges…", said Haxhiu.

According to her, in Kosovo there will be Vetting starting from the heads of justice institutions.

"There will be full vetting, starting with the heads of justice institutions.

From today, the Republic of Kosovo begins a new era.

"Kosovo will voluntarily undertake a process that aims to control itself by achieving justice… We also have the support of the Prime Minister", said further Haxhiu.
