The bridge over the Buna River, which will be built between Ulcinj and Velipoja, will connect 34 kilometers of sandy beaches, which are visited by about 530,000 tourists a year, said Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic.

He has revealed through social networks some new information about the bridge that will connect two coastal cities, Telegrafi reports.

The total length of the bridge will be 310 meters while the space between the two supporting pillars will be 139 meters.

The bridge, which will be 17 meters wide, will have two 3.75-meter traffic lanes, two two-meter-wide sidewalks and two 1.25-meter-wide bicycle paths, Abazovic wrote on Twitter.

We emphasize that the current distance between Ulcinj and Velipoja is 73 kilometers, while with the construction of the bridge it will be reduced to only 1 kilometer.

"The planned deadline for the completion of works is August 2024. We connect people!

We are strengthening the economy!

"We are building Montenegro," Abazovic said.
