A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident in Kurdamir.

APA's local bureau reports that the incident was recorded on the Baku-Gazakh highway passing through Arshali village of the region.

A 38-year-old driver, Nabizadeh Movlud Mahammadnabi oglu, a resident of Agdash region, hit Garayev Aligismet, a resident of Sighirli village of Kurdamir region, who was trying to cross the road in a FORD minibus in the direction of Baku.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

His body was taken to the Kurdamir branch of the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Association of the Ministry of Health for examination.

An investigation is underway.
