The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) will support the professional development of about 115,000 young people through the Human Resources Development Program 2021-2027. In the period until 2027, over BGN 730 million of its budget will be directed to measures to include young people in the labor market, facilitate their transition from education to employment, provide traineeships, on-the-job training and subsidized employment.

Since 2014, more than 80,000 young people have received support under the Operational Program "Human Resources Development".

This was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Georgi Gokov at the career forum "Support for a career in art and culture".

The event is organized by the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov" and the Union of Artists in Bulgaria, together with MLSP,

Minister Gokov presented to the directors of theaters and various cultural institutions the new national program for employment of young people who have completed secondary and higher education in the field of culture.

The program is part of the National Action Plan for Employment in 2022. The budget is over 1.2 million levs. The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy will subsidize the employment of about 200 young people for a period of 6 months full-time, by providing employers with funds to pay their wages and social security contributions.

For the first time, subsidized employment is provided for the career start of young people under 29 in this field, said Minister Gokov.

During the forum, employers in the field of culture and art were acquainted with the opportunities for youth employment under the Human Resources Development Program 2021-2027, as well as with the parameters of the National Melpomene Program, aimed at job creation. to support the activities of theaters.
