Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has met in Kiev with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.

APA reports quoting Ukrainian News Agency that the relevant statement was made by Deputy Chief of Staff Andrei Sibiga after the meeting.

"This visit of the four leaders to Kiev and our talks have once again proved that our main strength and most effective weapon is unity," Zelensky said.

According to him, during the meeting the parties discussed the following:

Continuation and strengthening of Ukraine's defense;

Coordinating the parties' approaches to Ukraine's economic support and post-war recovery;

Against the food crisis caused by Russia;

Future sanctions against Russia;

The meeting also focused on the future of Europe and Ukraine's European integration.

Zelensky, in turn, stressed the need for defense.

According to the report, first of all, heavy weapons, modern missile artillery and missile defense systems are expected to be sent to Ukraine.
