The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, said that today the police received information about explosive devices in 72 schools and at the Prishtina Airport.

Minister Sveçla, through a post on Facebook, said that the situation has been worrying especially when it comes to educational institutions of all ages, but thankfully, in no location was there an explosive device.

"Kosovo Police today provided information on explosive devices in 72 schools in the municipalities of Kamenica, Lipjan, Zvecan, Gracanica, Skenderaj, Prizren, Pristina, Klina, Viti, Rahovec, North Mitrovica, Ranilluk, Dragash, Artana, Strpce, Partesh ", Fushë Kosovë, Vushtrri, Gjilan, Zubin Potok, Istog and the latest information at the Pristina Airport" Adem Jashari "", wrote Sveçla, Telegrafi reports.

Sveçla further said that “the relevant units of the Kosovo Police immediately went to the announced locations, first surrounding the areas and then the detailed control of the facilities.

The situation has been worrying especially when it comes to educational institutions of all ages, but thankfully, there was no explosive device in any of the locations.

"The controls at the airport have already been completed and there were no explosive devices, the work has continued with the same intensity."

"I want to assure all citizens that there is no reason to panic or worry.

We remain committed to with all our capacities, through all our mechanisms to provide security for all citizens without any distinction in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo ", wrote Sveçla.

While Minister Sveçla says that the Kosovo Police has been provided information on explosive devices in 72 schools, the Police itself through a press release said that bomb threats were made in school buildings in 30 locations.
